7 Ways to Prolong the Honeymoon Stage

Keep your honeymoon high by doing any or all of these suggestions below!

1. Travel together.

Going to a new destination will allow you to experience novel things as a couple. It will also give you the opportunity to strengthen your bond and take care of each other while you’re seeing the sights.

2. Take time apart.

You know what they say: “Absence makes the heart grow fonder.” Spend a few hours apart while doing personal hobbies or projects, then rush back home to the love of your life with updates about your day.

3. Surprise your partner with his or her favorite things.

It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant. A surprise breakfast in bed with coffee and his favorite pancakes will do the trick! Flowers for no reason at all will surely put a smile on her face.

4. Try something new as a tandem.

Whether it’s joining dance classes for couples or signing up for scuba diving lessons, there are many things you can join that can add excitement to your lives as newlyweds.

5. Show your partner you miss him.

It doesn’t take a lot to make someone feel extra special. Little gestures such as sending her a cheesy text message in the middle of the day or placing a sticky note in his work planner saying you love him will show each other how much you care.

6. Be in the moment.

When you’re alone with your partner, don’t be afraid to gaze at each other intently and express your feelings openly. Words and actions work hand in hand to keep your feelings alive.

7. Dream together.

Whether it’s designing your new home or coming up with names for your future kids, it’s always a good idea to imagine and create a future together.
